Old Cathcart was one of several villages, which formed part
of medieval Glasgow. It has retained its village character
even though Industrial Age Glasgow incorporated it in the
Eighteenth Century. The site was in a locally sensitive location
on the alluvial plain of the White Cart Water. |

There were therefore a variety of Design difficulties
to overcome in that we had to drive 43 Structural Piles down
some 40 feet to the bedrock. On completion of the Ground
Works Eleven Luxury Apartments were constructed over 4 Storey’s
contained within a Timber Frame clad in Blonde Sandstone. |

East edge of Glasgow some 5 miles from the bustling and prosperous
New Town of East Kilbride.
Due to the location, within a Conservation Area, this Development
faced severe Design Problems. |
